It’s that time of the year again! Open enrollment for Covered California is around the corner, so it might be time to start getting ready to renew your health insurance or to apply for health insurance. This year, open enrollment starts November 1st and goes through January 31st, so you have less time to take care of your health insurance matters. Our enrollment counselors can enroll patients in CalFresh as well. CalFresh allows people to access healthy and nutritious food, improving their health and well-being as well as of their families. You might be eligible for CalFresh and might be able to access this wonderful benefit.
Reminders
- The Covered CA renewal period starts in October
- Medi-Cal enrollment is year-round
- You might be eligible for health coverage if you are undocumented (please ask our enrollment counselor about “Prucol”)
- You are very likely to have to pay a penalty if you are eligible for health insurance and decide not to apply. The penalty increases every year.
