Infectious Disease Care

Infectious diseases are disorders caused by organisms — such as bacteria, viruses, fungi or parasites. Many organisms live in and on our bodies. They're normally harmless and may even be helpful. But under certain conditions, some organisms may cause disease. Some infectious diseases can be passed from person to person. It is in these cases that it is important to identify and treat these infectious diseases to prevent spread and bodily harm. Marin Community Clinics infectious disease specialists work closely with doctors in many specialty areas to make sure you get exactly the care you need. Ask your primary care provider for more information or visit our STD clinic to get tested.
