Public school districts have transitional kindergarten (TK) programs available to young learners in Marin County between the ages of 4 and 5-years-old (for children who don’t yet meet the age requirement for kindergarten). TK is a program designed to bridge the gap between preschool and kindergarten, and Marin Community Clinics is helping spread the word to families that may be of interest in taking advantage of these beneficial programs.
Who is eligible?
- In most cases, children that are 4-years-old whose 5th birthday falls between September 2, 2023 and April 2, 2024 are eligible for TK.
What documents are required to enroll in transitional kindergarten?
- Completed enrollment packet
- Proof of age
- Two current (or recent) forms showing proof of residency
- Immunization records (MCC patient? Contact us at 415-798-3124.)

KINDERGARTEN DE TRANSICION
