Dr. Allison Slater is a family physician who loves the breadth and diversity of taking care of people of all ages. Dr. Slater speaks Spanish and English. She is passionate about person-centered and trauma-informed care, language access, reproductive healthcare, and working with immigrant families. She believes in a whole-person and collaborative approach to healing in the context of her patients’ unique lives. Dr. Slater grew up in Southern California and completed her undergraduate education at Scripps College. She was a Fulbright scholar in Mexico, researching the patient experience in safety net family planning clinics, after which she earned her medical degree from the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine. Dr. Slater also completed a Master of Bioethics at Harvard where she focused on reproductive health ethics and moral obligations of clinicians to prioritize professional medical interpretation with patients who have limited English proficiency. She is a graduate of Sutter Santa Rosa’s Family Medicine residency.
