Every day, Marin Community Clinics stands beside families who are doing their best to stay healthy amid rising costs, complex systems, and uncertain times. For thousands of our neighbors, access to compassionate, affordable care isn’t simply a service — it’s a lifeline. And it exists because of donors like you.
In 2024, more than 38,000 people — one in five Marin residents — relied on MCC for care. Nearly a third were children. Many were navigating job loss, housing instability, chronic illness, or language and cultural barriers that made the healthcare system feel impossible to reach. For these families, MCC became their anchor — the place they could turn when they had nowhere else to go.
One such family is Paweena and her son, Joaquim (“Jimmy”), whose journey reflects the profound difference your generosity makes. After losing private insurance and transitioning to Medi-Cal, Paweena feared that Jimmy — already managing autism and facing a potential neurological condition — would lose the care he desperately needed. Instead, she found a coordinated care team at MCC that walked beside her, ensured her son received comprehensive testing, helped her access services like ABA, speech, and occupational therapy, and restored a sense of stability during a frightening time.
Jimmy is now thriving. His story appears later in this newsletter — and it is just one of thousands made possible through donor support.
Your giving strengthens more than individual lives; it strengthens our entire community. When families receive timely care, children stay in school, adults remain healthy enough to work, and our local economy grows stronger. MCC is not only a healthcare provider — it is a cornerstone of community well-being.
As the cost of care rises and the need in our region grows, your partnership ensures that every child, parent, senior, and neighbor receives care delivered with dignity, compassion, and respect.
Thank you for helping build a healthier, more compassionate Marin for all.
