Marissa grew up on the island of O’ahu in Hawai’i where she found passion in caring for people of all ages from keikis (children) to kupunas (elders). She has a special place in her heart for the pediatric and immigration population as she herself has had firsthand experience. Marissa has volunteered in Costa Rica and Nicaragua providing medical services for the underserved and she speaks Chinese (Mandarin), Korean, and some Medical Spanish.
