Dr. Stahl was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. She moved east for college, returned to Detroit for medical school, and eventually made her way to the Bay Area for her residency in psychiatry. Dr. Stahl has always been intrigued by understanding people’s stories and that is what drew her to the field of psychiatry. Dr. Stahl is trained as a psychoanalyst and that informs her approach to treating all of her patients. In addition, she has expertise in psychopharmacology and has successfully combined these approaches in her work at MCC. “We are complex beings and there are many forces that shape and influence who we are as individuals. Having the opportunity to understand ourselves can open the road to healing and change.”
