Esme Cullen

Dr. Cullen is an internist and public health researcher focused on underserved communities and barriers to high quality medical care.  She comes to Marin Community Clinics as Associate Site Medical Director after working at Kaiser Oakland as a hospitalist and studying preventive care among their growing Medicaid population. She is interested in health policy, transitions of care after hospitalization, communication between providers and patients, and social determinants of health. She is excited to serve MCC’s unique population as part of an integrated team and continue to teach and learn from her patients.

She has a BA from Brown University, completed her medical training UCSF, residency at Kaiser Oakland and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. She has a Masters in Public Health from UC Berkeley and completed a research fellowship in the Southern US studying Medicaid expansion.

Outside of the office, Dr. Cullen loves to sing bluegrass songs and to cook food grown from her garden with her two kids in the San Geronimo Valley.
