Darell Hawley, DO

Dr. Hawley is a board certified family medicine doctor, working for patients 16 and older. In addition to classic primary care, she has a special focus in HIV and Hepatitis C treatment and prevention, and management of substance use disorders. She also provides gynecology services, and birth control counseling (including IUD and Nexplanon placement).

She also has experience with gender-affirming care, for adult patients. She strives to create a relationship with her patients where they feel heard, respected and empowered.

She recently moved from New Jersey and is excited to explore all that the North Bay has to offer. When not in the clinic, you can usually find her hiking, at a venue with live music, or enjoying a good brunch outside.

Some pharmacies, such as CVS and Walgreens, have pharmacists that may be able to give you a prescription for treatment. Call your pharmacy to see if they offer this service.

As soon as you have new symptoms such as a runny nose, cough, sore throat or fever, you should immediately test for COVID-19 and ask a doctor about treatment if you are positive.

Treatments must be taken within 5 days of testing positive and when symptoms begin to be effective and work well. Seek treatment while your symptoms are still mild, do not wait for your symptoms to get worse.

So if you start feeling a runny nose, cough, or generally not like yourself, act fast and take a COVID test. And if you test positive, seek treatment right away.
