CEO Message
For nearly five decades, Marin Community Clinics (MCC) has been more than a healthcare provider. Above all, we have been a lifeline for families navigating financial, cultural, and systemic barriers to care. Today, as more of our neighbors rely on us than ever before, the foundation supporting access to health services faces unprecedented threats. As a result, care for millions across the nation could be profoundly reshaped.
The Challenge We Face
Currently, policy proposals such as the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA), along with new federal interpretations of long-standing regulations, threaten to increase the number of uninsured Americans. At the same time, these changes could restrict access to essential programs like Medi-Cal and CalFresh. Here in California, such shifts may lead to longer wait times, fewer appointment options, and greater strain on systems families depend on daily. For the 38,000 Marin residents—nearly one in five people—who rely on MCC each year, the stakes could not be higher.
MCC: The Lifeline That Holds Steady
Even amid these national headwinds, our commitment has never wavered. This year, we strengthened services, expanded behavioral health support, and deepened care coordination to ensure no patient is left behind. Because of this work, MCC earned statewide recognition, achieving performance scores above 90 percent. This achievement stands as a powerful testament to the compassion and expertise of our care teams.
Most importantly, MCC continues to be a source of stability and hope. When families like Jimmy and his mother, Paweena, faced complex medical challenges and overwhelming uncertainty, MCC wrapped around them with coordinated, hands-on support. Today, they are thriving because MCC was there when they needed us most. Read their full story here.
“When families are facing the hardest moments of their lives, MCC is the anchor where hope and healing begin.”
Be the Lifeline This Year
As the national landscape grows more uncertain, MCC’s role as Marin’s essential health anchor becomes even more critical. Through your generosity, every child, parent, senior, and neighbor who walks through our doors receives care delivered with dignity and compassion.
I invite you to stand with us. Together, we can be the lifeline that keeps our mission strong and our community healthy—and shows that local commitment can rise above national instability.
Thank you for your partnership.
