Building Health and Community
Marin Community Clinics (MCC) coordinates Health Hubs at the Novato and San Rafael Clinics! At our health hubs, we provide free and bilingual services such as farmers market style food distribution, group exercise, nutrition education, healthy taste tests, health screenings and information about community organizations. Food is provided by the Food Bank and by the Extra Food Program, and the health screenings are provided by our wonderful nurses! Everyone is welcome to attend the health hubs and to help us run it!
Every Wednesday at our San Rafael Clinic from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm
Every Thursday at our Novato Clinic from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm
We offer complimentary group exercise at both Health Hubs from 3 pm to 4 pm!
Every week, at least 10 volunteers assist us with setting up the health hubs, distributing the food and cleaning at the end. Volunteers age 12 and older from all backgrounds are welcome to participate (volunteers less than 15 years old must be accompanied by an adult). Volunteering at the MCC health hubs is a fun and rewarding experience!
FREE blood pressure and glucose tests 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm at both Health Hub locations on Wednesday’s & Thursday’s
Community organizations are welcome to provide information about their services and events at the Health Hubs. The Health Hubs provide a great opportunity to reach out to the community, bring awareness about important topics and issues and promote services and events.
