Fraud Alert 10.2023

By October 6, 2023No Comments

Marin Community Clinics (MCC) has been notified that a fraudulent third party is posing as part of our talent acquisition team.  Cyber criminals fabricate job opportunities that seem real by spoofing the website of legitimate companies and the emails and names of real people.  Thousands of people report being a victim to these types of employment scams each year. Scammers hijack a company’s identity to steal a job applicant’s money, identity and personal information. These fake job ads often have misspellings and grammatical errors that are red flags for applicants and the job descriptions often prey upon people who want to work from home.  The job descriptions are very simple, lacking specifics.  If you fall victim to a scam, you can report it to the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center (www.ic3.gov) and if you sent money or personal information contact the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).

Marin Community Clinics is committed to our mission to promote health and wellness through excellent, compassionate care for all.  We have great career opportunities advertised on our website https://www.marinclinic.org/company/careers/ and career sites like Indeed, Zip Recruiter and LinkedIn.  We encourage applicants to take their time and verify and research all job opportunities.  Our advertisements are detailed and can always be seen on, our interview and onboarding is comprehensive.  Learn more about us from our website.  We will never ask for a financial commitment from an applicant as part of the recruitment process.  If you apply via our website, you may be contacted by us by phone, but and interviews are normally conducted in person or through video conference invitations from official company emails, such as recruitment@marinclinic.org.

We hope you have a safe and enjoyable applicant experience.
