Lydia Mayock

I was born and raised In Bogota, Colombia where I completed my Bachelor’s in Arts education. I moved to the San Francisco Bay area where I have raised a family, obtained a Masters In Social Work at San Francisco State University and a License as a Clinical Social Worker. I am bilingual and bicultural.

I have worked as a mental health provider and as a school counselor for several years. My special Interest is in working with children and families who have relocated to this country, addressing cultural adaptation issues, the challenges for family transitions and healing after exposure to trauma.

I enjoy reading, taking mindful walks and spending time with family. I love nature and discovering new places.

I follow the principles of Social Work and have the firm belief that with support, each person has the power of transformation through accessing resources available within self and from the environment 1 also know that small steps count and that the grateful attitude contributes to positive changes.
