Helene Walters

Dr. Helene Walters is a “French-American” pediatrician. She joined Marin Community Clinics, in August 2012. A Paris native, she obtained her MD and accomplished a French Pediatric Residency, followed by a Fellowship in Pediatric Hospitalist Medicine, in Paris, France. She practiced in France and Africa prior to coming to the US, as a Pediatric Hospitalist. She moved to California in 2008 and did her US Pediatric Residency at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland.

Interested in all areas of pediatrics, she believes in universal, culturally competent and patient-centered healthcare, and, she values evidence-based medicine She has special interest in infectious diseases and global health.

Dr. Walters now works in both inpatient and outpatient settings in Marin, at MarinHealth Medical Center and Marin Community Clinics, caring for families of all cultural and social backgrounds. She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and an Associate Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at UCSF.

Married and mother of three children, she enjoys hiking, exploring California nature and, above all, traveling with her family.
