Cayenne Bierman

I was born and raised in the North Bay and committed to providing compassionate, supportive, trauma-informed healthcare to the most vulnerable members of my community.

I received a BA in Cultural Anthropology from San Francisco State University and earned an MSW from the University of Washington School of Social Work in Seattle. I earned my LCSW in 2012.

Following my undergraduate education, I served in the United States Peace Corps in Turkmenistan and later worked with Internally Displaced Persons in Kosovo and Sri Lanka. My work with these populations compelled me to see out a career in Social Work. Working with displaced, homeless, and marginalized populations continues to be my passion.

I am proud to be a part of MCC’s Complex Care Team which strives to address Social Determinants of Health through advocacy, education, relationship building, health coaching, resourcing, and emotional support.
