Mamography Saves Lives
“Mammography Saves Lives” is the motto we use to engage our staff and create a culture where opportunities are not missed and all eligible patients are screened for breast cancer.
Eliminating Barriers to Care
Studies show that when breast cancers are detected at an early stage, the cure rate is high. In order to promote successful health outcomes, we are working closely with local imaging centers. Our goal is to streamline appointment coordination and secure appointment slots dedicated to Marin Community Clinics’ patients. As a result, we will be able to considerably increase the number of women receiving mammograms.
Meet Melanie Thompson, DO
In November, Dr. Thompson was appointed Regional Medical Director for our San Rafael and Campus clinics. She has been working at Marin Community Clinics as a family physician for four years.

Path to Health Program has Huge Enrollment Success
The Clinics’ Certified Enrollment Counselors have achieved first, second, and third place in the state for County Medical Service Program’s Path to Health enrollments. There are 13 counties participating in the Path to Health pilot program. Path to Health provides access for primary care and some specialty care to eligible patients who previously only had access to emergency Medi-Cal services.
