Marin Specialty Access Coalition |
|
|
In 2008 The Marin Specialty Access Coalition (MSAC) was formed and is comprised of
representatives from Marin Community Clinics (MCC),
Kaiser Permanente, and Sutter Health, as well as Coastal Health
Alliance, Marin City Health and Wellness Center, Marin County Department of Health and Human Services, Operation
Access, Ritter Center, and RotaCare. The purpose of the Coalition is
to address the lack of access to specialty care for Marin County’s
publicly insured and uninsured residents.
As the hub of the MSAC, Marin Community Clinics is developing a
network of specialists to increase access to specialty care.
MCC is forging relationships with health care providers throughout the area to develop this network.
Through formal agreements with specialist providers,
MCC can offer a venue for physicians where malpractice coverage is in place,
and facilitate the referral process by acting as
a gate-keeper to assure that the appropriate work is completed prior
to the referral being made.
Marin Community Clinics invites physicians interested in participating
in the Marin Specialty Network to contact Dr. Georgianna Farren
at gfarren@marinclinic.org

If you are a physician or other health care professional and would like to volunteer at our clinics on a regular basis,
