We provide a wide range of care through regular or same-day appointments for Marin County residents who do not have medical insurance, or who are enrolled in Medi-Cal or other public health insurance programs. We offer primary medical care for children and adults, as well as dental care for children. Specialty services, including mental health counseling, are available by referral.
Financial counselors are available by appointment to help you determine how to pay for your healthcare. Medi-Cal, Medicare, County Medical Services Program (CMSP), Healthy Families Program, Family Planning Access Care & Treatment program (Family PACT), Child Health and Disability Prevention Program (CHDP) and CaliforniaKids are accepted.
If you do not have insurance (not enrolled in Medi-Cal or another public insurance program) a sliding scale discounted fee (based on income, financial resources and family size), or full visit fee is required to be paid at time of your visit.
If you want to apply for a sliding scale fee or a public insurance program, please bring proof of your income to your first appointment (for example: pay stub; income tax form; letter from employer).
English and Spanish are spoken by multicultural staff at all clinics. Vietnamese is also spoken at the San Rafael and Greenbrae clinics. Interpretation services for most languages are available during patient appointments.
Immunizations
Routine pediatric immunizations are provided to children at no additional cost during office visits. Limited types of adult vaccines are available for an additional fee.
Medical-Legal Project Serves the Whole Patient
The Marin Medical-Legal Partnership, a joint project of Legal Aid of Marin and Marin Community Clinics, provides free legal services to patients with health problems that may be related to legal issues. Our providers are trained to identify broader causes of medical problems that may benefit from legal counsel. Staff attorneys from Legal Aid of Marin are available for consultations each week in our San Rafael and Novato clinics. A County of Marin video – an episode of Connect! Family Services – gives more detail about the ongoing project. To watch the video on YouTube, click here.
