Clinical Systems Analyst

Marin Community Clinics is seeking a Healthcare I.T. professional with Electronic Health Records expertise to join our team.

Reporting to the I.T. Director, the Clinical Systems Analyst provides support for the NextGen EHR application. The role involves communicating with managers, providers and staff to coordinate training, installs and support; managing requests for changes to the entire NextGen system; implementing EHR including the modification of templates, and applying EPM knowledge to modify master files, implement new features of an installed EPM/EHR system.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for Nextgen EHR and related systems
  • Participate in on-call rotation for support coverage of operating hours
  • Provide back-fill support for other Physician Systems team members
  • Adopt all standard processes and documentation responsibilities relative to issue management, change management, testing, training, and documentation
  • Respond to customer issues and change requests with a high degree of success according to established service levels and/or expectations
  • Actively participate in knowledge-sharing and cross-training
  • Interact with system vendor support personnel and IT department to resolve customer issues and requests
  • Gain specific knowledge of distinctive differences between system deployments and leverage opportunities to standardize when appropriate
  • Participate, on an as-needed basis, in system deployment, testing, and training activities
  • Participate, on an as-needed basis, in all system upgrades, fixes, and enhancements
  • Provide support, training, and/or other necessary services

Requirements:

  • 1 to 2 years of Nextgen or other EHR implementation or support experience
  • 2 to 3 years of healthcare IT experience
  • Clinical expertise in an ambulatory setting strongly preferred
  • Undergraduate degree preferred
  • Ability to engage in up to 25% travel in service area (Marin County)

Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

The general purpose of the Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is to minimize psychosocial stressors that have a negative impact on patient health; and to assist medical providers in understanding patient needs and developing joint plans regarding the behavioral health aspects of patient care.

The LCSW works as a member of the primary care team using the “IMPACT” model to provide biopsychosocial assessments, brief behavioral interventions, education, referrals, short term follow up and consultation to medical providers.  The LCSW assists both English and Spanish-speaking patients in their change efforts.  LCSW’s may also be asked to develop and/or facilitate psycho educational support groups.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide brief assessment and referral, behavioral interventions, education and short term follow up for English and Spanish speaking primary care patients with mental health, substance abuse and medical compliance issues
  • Provide consultation to primary care medical practitioners on behavioral health issues of patients
  • Develop joint plans with medical provider on behavioral health aspects of patient care
  • Use the IMPACT model for assisting patients who have identified behavioral health issues at the time of their medical visit, in addition to providing treatment to scheduled behavioral health patients
  • Use the Clinic’s electronic medical records system to document clinical work, produce billing, collect service data, and maintain a schedule as well as to communicate information to other clinic providers
  • Provide crisis intervention and follow-up visits as needed
  • Develop and facilitate psycho-educational support groups on behavioral health topics as needed.

    Provide education and support to patients and their families to encourage compliance with medical and behavioral regimes
  • Develop and maintain procedures, protocols on an ongoing basis to ensure the program’s relevance and effectiveness for patients and Clinic staff
  • Work closely with the Behavioral Health Coordinator to facilitate administrative aspects of the program
  • Attend medical provider meetings, all staff meetings and behavioral health team meetings as scheduled
  • Provide frank and considered opinions regarding quality improvement
  • Schedule appointments, prioritize referrals, write brief case summaries and facilitate feedback and follow-up with medical providers
  • Provide mental health assessments and assist with diagnosis based on DSM-IV criteria
  • Provide Behavioral Health care to satellite clinics as needed

Requirements:

  • Previous clinical experience including assessment and diagnosis, brief individual psychotherapy, group work, and crisis intervention
  • Knowledge of state regulations and standards related to client treatment, patient rights, and client/patient confidentiality
  • Familiarity with psychopharmacology is helpful
  • Willingness to acquire basic knowledge of psycho pharmacology; committed to on-going learning about new medications and treatments commonly used for mental disorders, substance abuse and common health problems
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively on a team preferably in a primary care environment
  • Previous experience collaborating with and providing information to medical personnel desirable
  • Fluency in English with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; ability to write reports and business correspondence in English
  • Fluency in Spanish with ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, customers, and the general public in both English and Spanish; ability to conduct brief assessments and intervention interviews with patients in Spanish
  • Must be computer literate and knowledgeable in Microsoft Office software programs, and how to conduct searches on the Internet
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) certification

  • Current CPR Training required


Primary Care Physician

Marin Community Clinics is seeking a Physician (Full or Part time) with an emphasis on Adult and/or Family Care practice.

The physician provides quality primary care to patients of MCC, consistent with her/his training and expertise, and appropriate to the ambulatory care setting provided.

Requirements:

  • a valid and unrestricted license issued by the Medical Board of California to practice medicine.
  • a current registration issued by the DEA allowing the prescription of drugs.
  • a current BLS certification.
  • the willingness and ability to follow clinic policies, objectives and mission established by regulations, grants, management or the Board of Directors.
  • Certification by an appropriate specialty board.
  • Proficiency in medical Spanish is highly preferred.

Marin Community Clinics is a qualified site for the National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment program.

Medical Assistant

The Resource Medical Assistant is cross trained in all functions of the clinic including, but not limited to, front office, appointment desk, phones, medical records and case management. The candidate must possess an interest in all aspects of clinic operations and be able to function in multiple roles and be able to multi-task.

Requirements:

  • Equivalent MA curriculum from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Medical assistant certification preferred.
  • Current CPR.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and Bilingual English/Spanish skills are required.
